Wow – what a week at the Autosport International show at the NEC in Birmingham!
The new demonstrator in striking sapphire blue with contrasting orange leather interior was very well received by the public, press and even some of our competitors.
Our deliberately chosen ‘minimalist’ approach to the stand design seems to have been the right decision… People come to the Autosport to see the amazing performance cars – so why obstruct the view with tensa barriers, pull up posters, flags and television screens?!
Thursday and Friday were all about talking to journalists from all the major magazines and website publications – see here for some of the press coverage we received.
Saturday and Sunday were spectacularly busy!
Good few film crews in attendance – we look forward to seeing the finished footage (hint hint BBC)
We even attracted the ‘wrong’ kind of attention from the Central Motorway Police. Gulp!
Thanks all for your test drive requests – we will be in touch as soon as the frost has thawed and roads get dry again to get you behind the wheel.
We are on stand 19420 (Hall 19) just in front of the entrance…
We will be displaying our first road registered Avatar Roadster on stand 19420 in hall 19 (Performance Car Show) – pretty much immediately in front of you as you walk through the door.
Please stop by for a chat – Avatar mechanics, designers and management will be present to answer any questions you may have (or to place an order!)
Another successful outing in the Avatar One driven by Dylan on the 4th May 2015.
In Dylan’s words: “It was great to see so many friendly faces at Castle Combe today – thanks all for stopping by! Shame the weather turned from ideal BBQ sunshine at 2pm to complete washout at 6pm, just in time for the race
“As hard as I tried I could not avoid aquaplaning about 50 times during the race (not the quickest way around the track!) No substitute for a bit of weight and 4 wheel drive in these conditions (and Robin refused to get inside the passenger seat for a bit of extra weight…).
If you would like to see what it looked like from where I was sitting check out
A few select photos from yesterday’s race at Castle Combe. We are very happy with the result and another bit of Silverware (or glassware more accurately) for the ever growing trophy cabinet Result: 2nd in class and 4th overall.
Avatar One Race car driven by Dylan Popovic picks up a class win and 2nd overall in the opening round of Sports & GTs champsionship at castle combe.
Short edit of the race footage – enjoy!
Avatar One is going from strength to strength claiming its first class win in very challenging conditions..

Avatar One claims its first podium at the fast paced Sports & GTs race at Castle Combe.
Avatar One, driven by Dylan Popovic, made an impressive first competitive outing at Castle Combe on 26th May.
Competing in the top class Castle Combe’s GT & Sports championship race, Dylan spent 14.5 laps putting pressure on the class winner Perry Wadhams in his TVR Tuscan.
Unfortunately the Avatar suffered from a coolant leak (loose jubilee clip) which resulted in the engine getting hotter and hotter, ultimately forcing Dylan to retire from the 2nd place with less than half a lap to go.
Enjoy the entire race footage filmed from within the TVR…
Avatar One made its first appearance at the pre-race Test Day at Castle Combe on 15th May.
Driven by Avatar in house race driver and director Dylan Popovic, Avatar One was taken through its paces around the Castle Combe track.
With only minor running in niggles to contend with, Avatar One demonstrated encouraging potential clocking up in excess of 50 laps with no mechanical or electrical issues.
Despite the focus of the day being running the engine in, bedding in the brakes and collecting the baseline data from the onboard data logger, Dylan managed to record competitive laptimes – which for the first outing is very encouraging indeed.
Dylan is expected to compete in the GTs race on bank holiday Monday (26th May).
Something exciting is happening behind the Avatar factory doors…
